What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
In order to maintain the quality of our services, and out of respect for our clients’ and stylists’ time, we require 24 hour advance notice to change or cancel an appointment.
Please arrive on time to your appointment. Late arrivals of 30 minutes or more will be considered a no-show and your deposit will not be refunded.
Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, but not for issues regarding work emergencies, childcare, traffic/transit, and out-of-town travel.
You may reschedule or cancel appointments on Vagaro. Vagaro will automatically refund you for cancellations made outside of the 24 hours preceding your appointment. Adjustments may be made on a case-by-case basis.
If you would like to correspond with the front desk, you can call us in the salon during business hours. The best form of communicating with us when not able to reach us by phone is via email.
What service do I book?
Partial Highlights
Partial highlights focus on the hair you can see from the front and a bit through the crown, whereas Full highlights include the underneath as well.
Gloss
Color is refreshed with an all-over toning treatment.
Bang Trim
A 15-minute dry cutting session to maintain your style, whether it's trimming the bangs or weight removal throughout the hair. Not to be confused with "just a trim," which would entail trimming all of the length of the hair and require a proper haircut appointment. Bang Trims can be scheduled at the end of the day on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and are to be booked over the phone or by email.
Full Highlights
Full Highlights create highlights through the front, crown and underneath panels of the hair. This service requires more time than a partial highlight.
Single Process Color
Single Process is all over color. Root touch up, grey coverage and even color throughout, finished with a Gloss.
Blowout
Starting with a shampoo to cleanse the hair, hair is blown out to the desired look. The usual time booked is an hour or less, depending on the hair density, texture and length.
Painting
Painting is a modern technique used to highlight hair.
The effect can vary from naturally sun kissed to dramatic contrast and the end result is a much softer grow out.
Double Process Color (aka Bleach & Tone)
A two step process (sometimes more..) using bleach on the scalp as well as the length.
Bleaching strips all of the color from the hair, while toning reintroduces pigment, tones of chosen color, to the hair after it has been bleached.
Event Style
More than a pretty blowdry. Consultations are mandatory to be clear on expectations. It is necessary for the additional work entailed i.e. hot tools, braids, etc. The price will vary depending on the end result and time spent.
What is customary to tip in the salon?
Gratuity is left to your discretion, but we cannot add gratuity on a credit card. In NYC, it is customary to tip 20% of the service price to a salon professional. Tipping is greatly appreciated.
